49 to 57 passengers
The full-size coach is what most people picture when they think of coach hire: 49 to 53 seats, a large underfloor luggage hold, air conditioning and often a toilet. It gives the lowest price per passenger for any group over 36 and every operator on the platform runs them.
The difference is usually a toilet. A 53 seater often has no toilet and uses the space for seats; a 49 seater usually has one. Some 57 seaters exist on the same chassis. Tell operators the passenger count and whether you need a toilet and they will quote the right vehicle.
Typical prices are £350 to £480 for a half day, £550 to £750 for a full day and £300 to £450 for a local airport transfer, excluding VAT. Weekends and school holidays cost more.
Standard coaches are clean, modern and comfortable. Executive adds leather seats, extra legroom, tables and Wi-Fi. Luxury or VIP adds a hostess area, fridge, premium finish and often fewer seats for more space. Choose the specification in your enquiry and operators quote accordingly.
